Icon+ Set Very Low Bidding Price for USO

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Icon+ set bidding price 80% lower than biding price ceiling (HPS) for universal service obligation (USO) packet 1 for 2009 budget year. Santoso Serad, the Chairman of Rural Telecommunication and Information Agency (BTIP) stated that he asked Icon+ to increase the price in the packet despite the fact that the tender applied mechanism of direct election. The low bidding price proposed by Icon+ had been contradictory with Telkom and Telkomsel's argument that the ceiling bidding price of USO for both packets was too low. Only two companies remained in the tender of USO packet 1, namely Icon+ and Indonusa System Integrator Prima. / Bisnis Indonesia, pg I7
