Telkom’s Performance Gets Better

Raymond Kosasih, senior analysts of Deutsche Bank, says, shares of operator firm Telkom gets better due to corporate strategy to allocate budget for corporate capital expenditure. Raymond estimates that within two years a head, capital expenditure for phone division at Telkom will reach up to US$ 5 billion, which the number figure much bigger compare with operator firm PT. Indosat: Financial Report During 2006

During first three months report in 2006, operator firm Indosat has recorded to earn net earning for Rp 383.9 billion, or has raised up to thirty six percent compared with same period in 2005, in which Indosat has earned net earning for Rp 282.9 billion. Total earning that gained by Indosat for first three months in 2006 worth of Rp 2.899 trillion, or it has been growth up to three percent from total earning in 2005 that has reached over Rp 2.815 trillion. Indosat has gained its earning from Indosat’s services on cellular business that cover up to 74.9 percent, MIDI business that cover up to 15.7 percent and telecommunication business that cover up to 9.4 percent. Mobile-8 off to flying debut

Shares of PT Mobile-8 Telecom, the fourth largest of the country's mobile phone operators, jumped by 20 percent on their trading debut Wednesday on the Jakarta Stock Exchange. The company mobile phone unit of PT Bimantara Citrasaw its stock climb by Rp 45 to close at Rp 270. About 738.7 million Mobile-8 shares changed hands Wednesday, accounting for about twofifths of the exchange's daily trading volume, according to Bloomberg figures. The company plans to increase its subscriber base to around 4 million customers next year and 6.9 million customers by the end of 2008. There are currently five commercial CDMA operators in Indonesia: Telekomunikasi Indonesia operating under the brand name TelkomFlexi, Indosat with StarOne, Bakrie Telecom with Esia, Mobile-8 with Fren, and Sampoerna Telekom Indonesia with Ceria.
