Indosat builds 335 units of BTS in Sulampapua

Indosat readies to construct 335 units of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in 2008 in a bid to improve service quality in Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua (Sulampapua). “as from the figure, 70 percent will be located in South Sulawesi,” said Fajar Oetomo, Head of Sulampapua Regional Office, in Clarion hotel, Makassar Monday. Each BTS needs Rp2 billion – Rp3 billion which later will serve 2,500-3,500 subscribers. The target here is bigger than the BTS development of in 200 in Sulampapua as they were only 200 units. The Indosat subscribers in Makassar are about 1.5 million connection with GSM and CDMA cards.
