Indonesia readies to launch Combo StarOne (2/01)

Unwanted to be lagged behind Telkom as the competitor, Indosat will release Combo from StarOne as the breakthrough in 2008. the Combo StarOne service has so far been studied. Asep Suhendi, head of Indosat Java Bali Nusra region, said Indosat expect the user to use StarOne not only in one area code in anticipation of CDMA operators competition. To boost up StarOne subscribers, Indosat also held China-based mobile phone product, ZTE, in the package program. In response to the many complaints filed by StarOne subscribers who frequently experienced drop call, Asep acknowledged the problem is due to the shift of StarOne frequency channel since October 2007. To anticipate it, Indosat ---has made some infrastructure and networks improvement.
