End Of January, Government To Claim Commitment Of 3 G Operators

At end of this January the government will claim for the commitment to building 3 G network to five cellular operators who were awarded with the licenses of the service. The five operators concerned are among others Telkomsel, Indosat, Excelcomindo Pratama (XL), Natrindo Telepon Seluler, and Hutchison CP Telecommunication Indonesia (ex Cyber Access Communication). "After all reports and up front fees have been received from the five operators, BRTI and Directorate General of Post and Telecommunication will check their commitment to building the networks in big cities as promised by the operators," said Kamilov Sagala, a member of Indonesian Telecommunication Regulating Board (BRTI), in a meeting in BRTI office, Jakarta, Tuesday (22/1).
