New BTS across the SURAMADU Bridge

The SURAMADU Bridge has been operational for nearly two weeks. The enthusiasm of the public in using the new bridge spanning the Madura Strait has not lessened. On Sunday (6/21) the queue of two- and four-wheeled reached 4 kilometers. The gathering of people in the northern side of Surabaya and Bangkalan has precipitated a problem in the Flexi telecommunication traffic in the area. The Manager for Optimalization Coverage Area Division Telkom Flexi East Area Agus Hendratno admitted that such gathering has increased the Flexi traffic dramatically. To anticipate the increase, Telkom has built 9 base transceiver stations/BTS across the bridge. / Suara Karya, pg 7
