BlackBerry’s after sales service hurdle

Abul Almaujudy, Chair of Indonesia BlackBerry Community (id-BB) mentioned RIM ways of doing business in Indonesia is through marketing partnership with operator. Nowadays, RIM only work with Telkomsel, XL, and Indosat. Unfortunately, RIM is not having customer service available here in Indonesia. Guntur S. Siboro, Indosat Marketing Director said the operator RIM marketing partner not looking at BlackBerry importer aside from them as a problem. ‘I think the operator core business is at the BlackBerry services, not selling the handset,’ confirmed him. / Bisnis Indonesia, pg A3
